1. What is the difference between Cardell and Shiloh?

• Shiloh offers an all-wood box. An all-wood box from Cardell is considered an upgrade.
• Shiloh offers a glaze on their cabinetry. A glaze on Cardell cabinetry is also considered an upgrade.
• Door styles and finishes vary somewhat between the two companies.

2. What is the difference between standard overlay and full overlay?

• In standard overlay, the door and drawer fronts overlay the cabinet opening ½”, and in full overlay, the door and drawer fronts overlay the cabinet opening up to an 1  5/16”.
• The drawer guides in a standard overlay are on the sides of the drawer. In a full overlay, the drawer guides are found on the bottom of the drawer and cannot be seen.

3. What does the general process of creating my kitchen consist of?

• One of our staff will come to your house to do initial field measurements.
• Once your measurements have been determined and our designers receive your job, we will call you to set up an appointment to come in and pick out the cabinet style and countertops you would like to have quoted.
• After we have your choices we can begin the design process. This part of the process can take 1-2 weeks, depending on the intricacy and size of your design.
• When the tentative design has been created, we will call you for an appointment to come back in to see the design and to receive your initial quote. Any changes or additions to your design can be made at this time. Note: changes to the design may cause the quote to change as well.
• If there are changes to your design that will require a new quote we will get you the new quote 1-2 days after the changes have been made.
• We will be happy to work with you as long as possible to ensure you are completely satisfied with the design of your space.
• Once you are satisfied with the design we will need you to come back in to finalize your choices. During finalization we will go over each aspect of your design to ensure everything you want is included for ordering, we will verify all of your choices—colors, styles, add-ons, etc...
• We will then have you sign off on these choices and pay a deposit of 50% of the total costs before we can place the order.
• After the order has been placed there will be a 4-5 week lead time for us to receive the order. 
• When we receive the order we will call you to set up an installation date. Note: the length of installation varies according to the design.
• Before installation begins, you will be billed for the remainder of the costs. Any additions to your order made after the sign-off will be billed separately and in some cases installed separately—depending on how quickly we receive the additions.

4. What are the differences between countertops? (Corian, Cambria, Silestone, Granite, Zodiaq, Laminate)

5. Are your cabinet’s custom made?

• Our cabinets are semi-customed made. They are made to order per the designer and client’s final design.

6.  How long does it take to receive cabinets?

• In most cases, there is a 3-4 week lead time.

7.  What areas does J.D.'s serve?

•      We serve Athens, Watkinsville, and the surrounding areas on a regular basis. However, we are always more than happy to make an appointment to meet with someone from outside the area.
