Meet Our Designers Lindsay W. Cooper I attended Georgia Southern University and earned a bachelor's degree in interior design. The interior design program is FIDER (Foundation for Interior Design Education Research) accredited, which ensures a high level of quality in design education. To meet the internship requirement of the program, I was fortunate to have a great work experience at Retro Interiors in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I was able to incorporate knowledge gained into actual work situations while there. I am an Allied ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) member and NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) member which provides design resources, continuing education opportunities, networking, and collaboration. I began working at JD's Kitchen and Bath Design, Inc. in May of 2004. I have always been interested in architecture, so being able to design kitchens and baths gives me the opportunity to combine my two interests. Kitchen and bath spaces interested me early on in design school and I was pretty sure I wanted to specialize in kitchen and bath design by my second year. I enjoy the challenge of space planning and the details that must go into a kitchen design. Since I began working at JD's I have been able to refine my skills by developing efficient and gorgeous kitchens and baths. As an interior design project manager, I have had to learn how to efficiently coordinate many jobs at the same time at different stages and see each job to its completion. Having design knowledge, creativity, and being personable helps me develop a relationship with my clients. I truly care about my clients and get great satisfaction in being able to make their spaces not only beautiful, but functional. Kitchen design is very important to the entire function of the house. The latest innovations in cabinetry and countertops are constantly enhancing efficiency in the home. After all, the kitchen is the "heart of the home." Rosemary Anderson I graduated from The University of Georgia in 2006 from the College of Family and Consumer Sciences with a Bachelor's Degree in Furnishings and Interiors. The UGA Furnishing and Interiors program has been awarded the endorsement of The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Through this endorsed program I was able to complete courses that focused on kitchen and bath design. I am an Allied ASID, as well as NKBA member. I have been a designer for JD's Kitchen and Bath Designs, Inc. since May 2006. I chose the kitchen and bath design field so that I would have the opportunity to create spaces that enhance the "feel and flow" of your home environment. The kitchen is generally the heartbeat of the home so a well-designed space will affect how you interact with your family and with guests. Each kitchen or bath design should be as unique as the person living in that space. While working at JD's Kitchen and Bath Designs, I have been further educated regarding cabinetry construction, cabinetry placement, and the function of each cabinetry piece within your kitchen and/or bath. There are several cabinetry manufacturers all with distinctive perspectives in cabinetry construction. We are trained to understand the construction of our cabinetry manufacturers and their contributions to your home. I believe the educational background of our staff sets JD's Kitchen and Bath Designs apart from any other kitchen and bath design company. All of our designers have earned bachelor's degrees from major universities, have been formally trained in kitchen and bath design, and have attained a working knowledge of new construction and remodeling projects from their collective years of experience in the field. What is so intriguing about kitchen and bath design and/or cabinetry design is its uniqueness. I have a diverse client base so therefore each one of my projects is going to be the only one of its kind whether the client is building a new home or remodeling an existing one. I think what drives me the most from the beginning of a project until the final inspection is the knowledge that the designs that the clients and I have created together will have an influence on their lives and the lives of their families. Because of the talented team that JD's Kitchen and Bath Designs offers, we are able to assist you with every aspect of your new construction or remodeling project and look forward to doing so. | ![]() |
